I was home alone in the evening, ready to start dinner, when a hot water line in my upstairs bathroom broke. I was unaware that it was saturating my floor and my ceiling until all of a sudden water came pouring down through my kitchen ceiling and my walls above me, and then my tile in my kitchen ceiling, which were saturated, came falling down around me and water saturated my kitchen carpet. I was frantic! I called Life Alert and they answered me immediately and proceeded to help me. The fire dept showed up and the water dept, and shut off the water in the basement. My family was located and they came and helped me get things under control (including myself). Life Alert was there for me and my emergency.
